Val Claret is the highest village in Tignes, with excellent ski access with direct links to the Espace Killy, the Grande Motte glacier and all the Tignes ski area.
Val Claret has lots of shops, restaurants and bars, 2 night clubs and a cinema. It has the most lively nighlife in Tignes
This is the most convenient base for the skiing with immediate access to the underground funicular and the link lift to Val d'Isère.
For non skiers, take the Funicular from Val Claret and have lunch or a vin chaud in the Panoramic restaurant at the top. From here you can take the cable car to the top of the Grande Motte Glacier and take in some of the incredible views. This is also a good place to watch others ski – especially if it’s sunny!
