Les Deux Alpes in the Oisans mountains is 44 miles from Grenoble. It is the second oldest ski resort in France.and has an incredible variety of slopes in an area famous for excellent snow quality all season.
In the summer it takes on an entirely different guise.
You can still ski - Les 2 alpes is one of the few French resorts to offer glacier skiing . The village is situated at 1650 m in a wide south facing high altitude valley with gentle slopes radiating on both sides, and links up to the glacier at 3600m., Expect magnificent views!See ski map
However, there are a multitude of other activities on offer and we also have a fabulous inclusive accommodation and activity package.
Actiities include - glacier skiing, mountain biking, rambling, outdoor swimming pool, horseriding, quad biking, golf, white water rafting, summer tobogans, paragilding, archery, trampolines etc
Take the telecabine down to the medieval village of Vanosc with its artisan craft shops and if you are feeling particuarly energetic climb the steps underneath the telecabine route back to Vanosc.
Even if you are not skiing take a trip to the glacier and isit the ice caves.
The village of Les Deux Alpes is lively, with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars lining its broad level streets, and is set against the stunning background of snowy peaks. There are some square apartment blocks, (not too high), but the majority of the buildings are chalet style.
